Your Learning Posture
The posture you take toward learning in your organization was established by the time you exited twelfth grade.
If you enjoyed school, you will enjoy lifelong learning. You will take advantage of learning experiences (books, internet searches, training opportunities, etc.) and you will desire to have more in the workplace, not less.
If you didn’t enjoy school, you will believe that lifelong learning is a myth. You will view in organizational learning experiences and in-house training as slogs to get through, you will fail to apply the lessons you should have learned, and cultural change will always be a mystery to you.
Fixed and growth mindsets around learning are set at a young age.
Please examine yours carefully.
